My clay works tend to be hand built non-functional objects. Before each new series of works, I spend time walking, reading, thinking, and looking for interesting ideas to work into my pieces. I take all these processes in on a very subconscious level and let these flashes of thoughts come out through the work when I start. I am predominately influenced by Asian and Indian motifs and designs, which I work into my pieces in a subtle manner.

Plant matter, feathers, mixed media and light play essential parts to my work. They are all crucial factors, which make up the integral design elements that are displayed throughout my work. Most of my pieces are executed in white earthenware, feenys clay and porcelain. I use a variety of glazing techniques and firing methods depending purely on what each particular piece in question needs. I am currently working on a range of contemporary lighting, wall mounted translucent porcelain light boxes.

Apart from creating clay work objects, I teach in my studio running weekly workshops in clay for Adults and Children.
